juz came bk fr taiwan. ya, biz trip again.
sick for like 3 days. super cold there.
a little update here.
met M n C for dinner b4 my trip
went to this plc at bugis + for dinner
braised prok belly. a little too dry for me. potato was creamy n smooth.
braised oxtail. very heavy n sweet. ok for me la. meat is tender n soft.
this sausage platter is good! v juicy n tasty sausages!
their signature roast chix. v tender n flavourful. the sauce is at its creamy best. good.
escargots. i noe i cant ask for much with this kind of price, but this is really no good for me. rubbery. n i dun like the idea of tomato with the snails. dun work for me.
mushrooms were decent, although i think the poached egg is slightly over cooked.
erm, i dun even remember what the hell is this. i juz rem them having v thick skin.
tiramisu was ok.
this bread pudding is good. the texture n the flavor is, well, bread pudding. but good enuff for me la.
if u ask me, i think the food here was ok, given that they r relatively cheap.
but the service was like....sigh.
S.T.E.A.M.
there was one particular server who i seriously tot that she was on a trans state of mind.
no kidding.
zero initiative (nv respond to customers' waving-like-hell-hands), slow n lethargic (like her limbs weighs abit a thousand tons), forgot customers' requests (when we finally got her attention), day dreaming big time.
others were slightly better, but i seriously think that they shd re-train/remove all the staff.
for this, sorry, i wun go bk again.
before we went off, i've decided to give a "present" to M.
apparently, i found this cd in my hse when i was like doing a major housekeeping few weeks ago.
n i found this edmund chen's cd (陈之财) in one of the catastrophic zone of my room.
i was definitely NOT mine.
then i rem i got it fr M when we were in poly.
opps. like maybe 13 yrs ago?????

M: wah, u can keep a man in ur bag meh?
me: erm, no la. its this la (throw the cd into her face)

C: simi lai eh? let me see!!!
M: antique ah!!!!
baby: wah lau eh.....y u got his cd???
M: eh, he sing nice what.....
baby: OMG
C: WTH is THIS!!!!!
me & M & baby: CD LAH!!!!!
C: dats it man, i am going to take a pix of this n spread it to e whole world.
M: wah lau eh, so embarassing!
baby n i went for bodycheckup b4 my biz trip.
finally, a good cup of coffee after fasting for more than 12 hrs (doc was LATE).
yummy scrambled eggs (me fav!), sausage n crispy bacon!!!

we packed our day w activities. after staying at hm for awhile, we went to this new vietnamese cafe for our dinner b4 Yoga's concert. this is the beef kawy teow. v nice fragrant wok hei, soft kway teow w flavorful beef. nice!
this pork wrap is our absolute fav now. well grilled tender pork wrapped in rice wrap w perilla and basil leaves. omg. can u imagine the taste? the leaves made the meat dish so light n fragrant! n the rice wrap.....v Q n chewy w a tinge of rice fragrance in it. v v nice!
this hungry woman is complaining that the speed of food coming to us is nt fast enuff for her empty stomach.
super nice vietnamese drip coffee.
this humongeous fella is the seafood egg crepe. thin crispy crepe made by frying the egg.......
w lots of veg n seafood inside. wah lau eh. this is insanely crispy lor. baby can hear the "crunch" when i took my 1st bite. v tasty too. recommended.
3 aunties b4 us went to the male toilet (maybe too urgent), n got chased out by an attendant outside. heng we nv walk too fast, if nt we oso enter the wrong toilet.

we simply love the concert. this is by far one of the best concert i've ever attended. yoga is really good! best singer ever. really enjoyed oursekves in his mesmerizing music. total awesomeness.
n i flew to taiwan the nxt day. this is my MOTEL room. yes, they booked a motel room for me. quite big though.
had bfast at this bfast shop juz 5 steps aways from the motel.
what is left was juz one pathetic nite. of cos i went to FJ nite mkt!

this is my bfast fir the nxt day b4 i left. vegtarian beehoon. the taiwanese really noe how to cook beehoon yo.....v nice!!! i cant get enuff of this.
they hav this new shop at the airport. decent. but the pork was nt seasoned. at all. no tase. what a shame.
i was so happy to find this book in the airport. i am currently reading this comic abt a ap restaurant that operates oni at nite. this book actually studied the recipes mentioned in the comic n made it real!
the new high tea set at tcc. v nice. try it!
ok. i muz confess that baby n i r v into viet food now. this shop is new at wheelock. we went for bfast b4 doing our hair.
their pork bahn mi is SUPER tasty!!!!! the crispy bread w pork pate,pork skin, pork meat, veg, mint leaves, chilli......n butter. wah lau eh. it is a symphony of flavors n texture!!!!! this is the wonder of viet food.
thier pho is flavorful yet light (contrast n balance). good.
yes folks. i am a green headed gremlin now.
i think baby look good in her new hairstyle. wat do u think?
