The Beginning of Endless Feasting - Restaurant Week

yes, the claw-like fingers r mine. colleague went to Q n buy. the tau huay la.
 baby worshipping b4 she eat.
met M n C for pre-bday dinner at this restaurant. i like the place. v cosy, n the food is tasty home cooked food at affordable price.
despite the fact that C came at 9.15pm (shop close at 10pm. she gulp down the dinner in 15 mins. awesome), we ordered the dishes as soon as we sat down (too hungry). this is the buah keluak. nice.
chap chye!!!! nicest dish for me. veg braised until change color liao. u tell me la, can nt nice meh?
babi pongtey. baby say it tast like ba zang. well, a de-constructed ba zang. in a good way. goes well w rice.
 fish soup. yumz.
 ngo hiang. hot n crispy.
sago w gula melaka. ok. nt too sweet.
this is good. pancake w kaya. go figure.
 baby's burbur terigu.
 三八到要死

initially, we had already given up on bidding for restaurant week. luck came raining n baby got us a seating for sunday lunch. si beh heng!
 seriously contemplating wat to eat.

hav been thinking to come here since forever.

look at the view. we r on 55th floor.
 obligatory touristy shot.
the raisin bread w cold pressed olive oil n spice mix is awesome. the olive oil is so fruity n light. yum yum yum. we finished up EVERY drop of the oil.hahahha.
my appetizer. smoked salmon w fennel, onion n orange (ok, they hav a fancy name for this, but i forgot). v fresh n light! the salmon is not salty at all. v sweet (seafoody) n easy on the palate. fried onion gave it an additional fragrance n texture. good.
baby's crabmeat omelette w broth. super sweet crab meat w soft n moist egg, purple basil n laksa leaves. v punchy herbs worked well w the egg n crab. miso broth makes it mosit n tender. v nice.
baby's panfried gnocchi w zucchini n parmesan cheese.slightly sweet gnocchi (potato sweetness) coated w crispy cheese, seasoned w lemon thyme......who can say no to this?
my spatchcock w grape dressing (again, i forgot the name). v nice bird. chewy n slightly gamey. works well w the grape dressing n parsnip puree. i like thte creamy parsnip puree. goes well w the sauce n the meat.

dessert was grape n rock melon sherbet. palate cleanser. as u can c, the servings for the dishes r relatively small, so by the end of the meal, i am still not full!!!! jia buay ba!!!!
we've ordered some cocktail. but for an unknown reason, we were informed that the bartender "went missing for a while". n for this delay, our drinks r on the house. free one ma, take lor. end up, i regretted. my pleasent experience is being tarnished by this drink. taste like tcm cough syrup. i didnt finish this. bleh.

it took a while for us to find this place though. u have to go to the reception at 4th floor, n then they bring u to a super dark area to take the lift up to 55th floor.

 the reception.
the still-hungry-me wanted to gt something light to eat. n we chanced upon this.
 4-yr-old blue fin tuna.

 look at the head. huge.

i am so tempted to buy. but well, 70 bucks for 6 small pcs of tuna is nt on my to-do list anymore (i've eaten this many yrs ago), so i've decided to go to a plc whereby i hav researched on recently.

this place sells gourmet burgers made by a michelin-3 star chef.
poor baby. v full liao still nd to acc me to eat.....hahahaha.

look at the vanila milkshake. full of vanila pods. n i tot it will b v dense n heavy. no wor. surprsingly, it taste v "fresh-milk". nt overly sweet. i like!
i ordered this burger, 3 little pigs, to share w baby. it is served w fries n smoke BBQ salsa.

pork patty w bacon, chirozo (YUM!!!), shitake mushroom, pickles, cabbage, pickles n yuzu mayonaise, served on brioche bread. my oh my oh my. i chomped down this half burger in 3 mouthfuls. best burger i've eaten. hands down. so so good. go try it. i dun wan to say so much.
 it is at pacific plaza.
dad was in a good mood yesterday, so he took us out for dinner. M told me that i've always blogged on chi-chi stuff. ok lor, let me shw u wat we can get from a good tze char stall! this is the new dish of the stall. crispy fried roll w prawn, pinapple, cheese n ham. v innovative. nice balance to the taste. n the pineapple is nt sour at all. nt bad.
my family's fav crispy chicken s"stuffed" w prawn paste. this is a v difficult dish. the chix nd to b de-skined. then they hav to dry the skin over nite, followed by putting the prawn paste on the skin, then deep fried. love it.
dad brought his own fish n ask the chef to steam it for us. super nice !!! the fish is super fresh n sweet, n the broth w the slated veg is nt overly salty. there was nth left of the gravy by the end of the meal. we drank it all.

this is oni the beginning of my feasting.
more to come yo.
