New Fav Eating Place

well well.
i've been rather bz after i've started class on sat, but i still insist to cook when i can.
class has been stressful. teacher is awesome(of cos rite.....). v motivating.
i hope my compositions will hav the chance to 见人.
hope.

 cooked this paella over the weekend. baby craved for it. i've added less seafood n added chicken n chirozo into the rice. v rich. baby liked it.


 went to our fav cake shop for cakes. D told us that chef will b making strawberry tarts n asked us to wait. n when the tart is ready, chef K served it to us personally!!!! so nice hor. he even offered to let me noe the recipe when i asked whether he need any helper/student or nt. to him, its the love for the cakes that is impt, nt the recipe. no wonder the cakes r so nice. u can taste the love in them.

 met MQ, YX n WK for dinner after our nt so hot steamboat session during CNY. MQ was complaining that i got her boobs in this pix. tsk, part of the platter ma.
 dessert. ordered the cake specially for MQ (朱古力), but alas, the baby bum invaded the abdominal cavity of mum, thus cake was neglected. poor cake. not a waste though. according to YX, the food was oni so-so. the one at robertson quay fared better. i will go check it out after my italy trip.
 uh huh. i still got time to watch power station's concert after my class! rush like mad though. class always end late.....


 baby n i went relish for brunch. food was decent, but the dessert is AWESOME. this is the strawberry cheesecake. deconstructed but tasted really good!!! i will go bk juz for this.

 i've decided to go pat tor w baby. brought her to Esquina for dinner.

 chef at work.
 sangria. tasted so good. balance fruity flavor w the alcohol. awesome. even the froth on top tasted nice.hehe.
 grilled octopus w heirloom tomatoes. octopus is grilled to perfection w sweet n plump tomatoes. yum.
 this dish is my fav dish of the nite. simply amazing. chicken wings with buttermilk n truffles. the chicken wings (boneless) were so tender n tasty, covered w the rich n smooth buttermilk sauce. the roasted pinenuts n the truffles were crispy (like potato chips) n crunchy, adding mouthfeel to the dish. simply wonderful.
 boneless chix wing. awesome.
 squid ink paella. we had this dish when we visited last time. still good.
 roasted iberico pork w crispy skin. yes, this is pork. pink n juicy, tender n sweet meaty flavor. love love it.
 bone marrow w poached lobster. our least fav of the nite. too fishy for me. cant really taste the marrow.
 sangria n berry ice cream. palate cleanser.
our dessert for the day. frozen yoghurt w morrocan spiced cous cous n pickled apricot. i like the taste of the combination of the ingredients. light n fresh. but baby beg to differ. she dun like this.
 
after the meal, our server (baby was crazy over him. said he is sooooooo CUTE) came n whisper smth to us.
ppl who fequent here will noe that they hav a "secret" bar across the street which requires a password to get in. n u can oni get the password if u dine here. the server whispered the password to us. i wanted to check it out, but baby was too tired. maybe nxt time.
w the awesome food n impeccable n fun service, we've concluded that this is our number 1 fav restaurant now (yes, valentino is down to 2nd).
simply awesome.
