Katong Rendezvous

met a couple of mad women over the weekend n had a good laugh.

simply love them.

baby n i decided to use our vouchers we got from groupon (buy too many la.....going to expire soon) n explored katong.
this is a sichuan restaurant at katong 112. really tasty food! we've been there a couple of times n found ourselves returning. do give it a try!

 招牌水煮魚。the fish is super silky n smooth in texture. nt too 痲but still hav a substantial kick to it. u can adjust the level of spiciness for this. we took the normal level one. wise choice. one of our fav dish.

干鍋排骨。awesome!!!! the ribs r coated w a special dry rub marinate, n deep fried. crispy on the outside, tender n juicy on the inside, w the spiciness from the dry rub. yumz!

 their white rice got corn in it!!!!

 we tried the multi-colored dumplings (diff flavours). wah seh, they will give DTF a run for thier money. fresh, juicy, tender, thin skin.....worth your calories yo. v nice!

 this is my fav. pork w cabbage. look at the juicy interior n the chunks of meat inside.....

 finally, one non-spicy dish.chinese cabbage w wolfberries. sweet chinese cabbage braised in chicken stock. v nice.

 after roaming the area, baby n i went to this pancake shop (YEAH!!!!) along east coast road. i have been groaning n moaning for the pancakes for the longest time ever. finally made it.

 baby: pout wat pout? come already wat.

me: i bery confused.

baby: y leh?

me: i wan to eat ALL!!!! so many types hw to choose??? y they do this to me????

baby: 肥你不死。

 baby ordered this pancakes w caramalised banana n walnuts

 the chix wings r quite good here. tender, juicy, well marinated n tasty. n they used fresh chix wings, nt frozen ones (i can taste it. my tongue is QC machine). can b less oily though. maybe higher frying temp will b good.

 caramel cappuccino

 this is freaking awesome. pancakes w king prawns, baked portobello mushrooms w garlic, butter, chives, n grated paramsan cheese. v yummy!!!! awesome awesome flavor combination. savoury ingredients w sweet buttermilk pancake......awesome la.

baby n i were damn stuffed by the end of the meal. yes, this is our dinner. who noes 2 pcs of pancakes can b this filling.
