Baby's Birthday - Part 2

baby n i went n tried the black truffle xiao long bao from DTF.

baby anticipating......

look at the truffles in the xiao long bao. nt bad nt bad. the taste of black truffles is distinct wout overpowering the meat taste. good.

i've decided to cook lunch for baby on sat.

cooked linguini w tomato, olive oil, basil n garlic w a pan fried pork chop.

a random veg soup mad from watever that is found in my fridge.

dessert was baked peach w caramel ice cream

bought baby's fav cake from Kki for her bday.

i've planned the prog after our lasik checkup on monday.

baby n i camwhoring b4 going out.

went RW for lunch after our checkup

pesto flatbread. i still think that the previous flavours r nicer.

my celeriac soup. so so.

baby's beetroot salad w feta cheese. duno since when she "embrace" feta w open arms.

we ordered this special bcos i am in the mood for truffles. nt worth the money though. tasted ordinary if u ask me.

baby was so surprised when i took out the tix for universal studio. she tot we r juz taking pix OUTSIDE. duh.

being strangled by frankinstien b4 i even begin my fun.

me: do i get nominated for this award?

baby: go ahead. u can win this since there r no competitors (HAHAHAHAHA)

we went dempsey after a long day at US for dinner.
we ordered 3 tapas to share. this spinach is cooked w pinenuts, spanish ham and raisins. super nice!!!

the highly recommended garlic prawn. sweet n succulent prawns w great amount of garlic n olive oil. nice.

this, my friends, is the beef tripe w chirozo. aquired taste. reminds me of HK. tender n juicy trip. v nice. i like.
we waited like 30 mins for this paella. i muz say this is the best ever paella i've had in singapore. although its abit on the salty side, i feel that the rice is cooked just rite. al dente to the bite. yumz.
the table nxt to us were gawking at our paella. then, one guy asked us hw was the rice. i told him its really good. then that guy said"if nt nice how?"

i told him"if nt nice, i will......eat it all for u."

they laugh like hell.

ordered a bread pudding for baby's "birthday cake". nice. but we r really quite stuffed when the dessert arrive, so we didnt finish it. the funny thing is, when the cake arrive, the table beside us started singing bday song for baby, keep asking her hw old she is.n that funny guy (who asked me about the paella) asked the waitress "so i cant order that (pointing to baby's pudding) la, cos oni bday girl got bday cake?"

the waitress immediately tell him that he can order other desserts too, which r nice too. then, that funny guy pointed at her, n say"orh.....u say their dessert NOT nice!!!!"

the waitress freaked out immediately.

hahaha. super hilarious.

hope my baby enjoyed what i've arranged for her.
