i am sure many of u will b complaining of the overdose of michael jackson's news these few days.
yes. he is everywhere.
actually, he WAS everywhere, in a hidden corner of everyone's heart or mind.
some hav forgotten. some dun even bother.
but u cant deny, the whole world knows him.
the passing of MJ had an impact on me.
which is pretty strange.
i was not a fan of MJ. nv really listen to his songs or bought his album.
so, y?
like everyone, i was over-exposed to his news recently.
the more they show, the more curious i got.
y? y a man like this, causes so much grieve when he left? y so many ppl jump out n tok abt him after we've lost him?
y?
my sis told me, "aiya, this will happen when a big star die la. pls la, everyday got ppl die lor. wats the big deal?"
well, true.
there r ppl dying everyday. everybody means something to somebody.
BUT, not everybody is michael jackson.
he had unknowingly touched most of our lives.
yes, a star or diva dies, ppl mourn their losses, then, ppl forget abt them eventually.
this always happens.
who toks abt theresa teng or anita mui now?
how abt leslie cheung?
human beings r forgetful.
n thats y, ppl forgot how wonderful michael jackson is. what a human being. what a wonderful man.
ppl oni rem him for his child molestation cases and cosmetic surgeries.
but do u noe that he is the man who gave the most to the charities around the world?
do u noe that he visited the soldiers during iraq war to give them his moral support?
do u noe he traveled to places where the ppl r infested w diseases and HIV n sang to them?
do u noe that he donated all his concert earnings to charities?
maybe u do. but u chose to forget all these.
others oso can do ma.

how abt music?
he is a musician, producer, poet, dancer, singer, entertainer, actor.......
ya, others oso can do ma.....
ok.
but not everyone is as iconic as him.
he n elvis presley(spelling?) merged black n white music.
MJ was against racism. he wrote songs like black or white (And I Told About Equality/An It's True/Either You're Wrong/Or You're Right.../It Don't Matter If You'reBlack Or White) and they dont really care abt us (Beat me/hate me/You can never break me.../Don't you black or white me/All I wanna say is that/They don't really care about us).
MJ cared abt the world. he wrote we are the world for the african kids.
n ppl from my era grew up w "heal the world".
he was a little boy who was forced to grow up when he was oni 10 yrs old. yet w all the fame n money n attention he got, he nv, in any moment, boast abt his talent. he remained humble n shy.
those allegations on him when he was alive hurt him so bad. n yet, he nv said a bad word abt those ppl who try to tarnish his image, pull him down from where he was.
his let his music do the talking.
but r we listening.
i hate to say this, but i didnt.
human r like this. we hav to wait till we've lost smth, then we realised that the person/thing we've lost was actually a treasure to us.
MJ is a v good example.
we've lost our legend. our music legend.
i love his "u are r not alone" and "heal the world". but actually, i started loving his song unknowingly when i was in primary 5.
the 1st english song that caught my attention. n i love it.
"we are the world".
he told his fans, if u wan to know who can make a difference, go find a mirror n look into it.
YOU ARE THE ONE WHO CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
we r all human beings, regardless of color, religon or gender.
we r all heroes in our own life.
go n listen to his songs. feel him thru his music. n u will realise, u can c better w ur hearts, instead w ur eyes.
thank you michael, for giving us this treasure.
