The start of endless makan

here we go.
its the season of feasting again.
luckily i did my annual body checkup liao....
 met M & C at the cafe we've always wanted to go


 gossip gossip
 auntie C was sick that day....still ordered truffle fries....hahahaha.....


 the fish wrap was really good
 some one ordered this juz to piss me off.....明知道我不能吃还叫?
 the advantage of all day bfast menu. dun like leh....scramble eggs too dry, bacon nt crispy enuff, sausage is meh.....ah well.

 pasta was nt bad


ahh.....failed terribly. i missed my crepe cake from BKK! conclusion? this place is over rated.
i've requested baby to acc me for brunch at my fav place. i love the vibe in sentosa isle. this is a so called pre-birthday celebration for me.



 the stupid woman at the next table was acting all chi chi atas abt her "experience in singapore". crap.

 bread basket was good. warm n crispy fresh bread. 

 my main course of pork cooked 2 ways. one pan fried, the other was a crispy skin suckling pig. yum yum!
 baby's main course of burger with pancetta and eggs. double yumz.
 abit of rain. cooling n zen.


 love our room. always super spacious.
 bath tub!!! time for a good soak!
 we went to this greek restaurant at the isle after a great swim at the beach n the pool (which made me hungry like mad!)


 polpo!!! marinated n grilled octopus. super tender, juicy and YUMMY!
 their famous pita bread. freshly made. hot from the tandoori. i nearly finished this all by myself (those who noe me shd noe that i dun like to eat bread one....so, go figure)

 our grilled seafood platter. everything tasted so good in this plate! the fish is awesome. juicy n sweet. prawns r perfectly grilled w robust flavors from the seasoning, n of cos the squid n the octopus....its a sea of flavors (pun intended)
 side dish of potato n beetroot. to balance the richness of the meat.
 we went to the gelato bar nxt door to chillax while waiting for the shuttle bus to go bk to our hotel. we ordered the pear and yogurt flavor. nice!
 coffee. to end the meal.

 went back to the room n found this cake on the table. complementary from the hotel. v pleased w the good and attentive service! 

 this was supposed to b bfast for 1 person. but look at the huge serving.....baby n i shared this in th room.
 nt to eat so much in the morning bcos we had plans for brunch at this plc

 southern biscult with fried chicken, maple candied bacon, sunny side up and meat gravy. toking abt calories.
 look at the chicken. super crisy tender juicy chicken w meat gravy n bacon.....damn delicious!
 wash down with a glass of mimosa (champagne + orange juice). this is perfect brunch
baby's pancake w bourbon caramelized banana, maple syrup and ice cream. v v good.

 the chef in me was at work again. got this lobsters from the fair last time. i've decided to challenge myself to create the lobster roll. 
i've butter poached them in flavored butter slow n low heat.
cooked veg soup for baby too.


 my creation of butter poached lobster w lemon yogurt dressing and ciabatta bread. verdict? lobster was sweet n tender. dressing was tangy n light, lifted the sweetness of the lobster meat. bread was lightly toasted to provide the crunch. i am a good cook. hahahaha.

 juz wan to highlight that i am a noodle fanatic. i love this bar chor mee at hong lim. best bowl of "chinese ramen" to date. my comfort food. :)
 i've beg for this. yes, my ramen craving is back again. n baby was juz being nice cos its near to my bday....heee.....



 the noodles were freshly made in the shop. thick yellow noodles w fish broth! yes, fish. 1st of this kind in singapore. I HAVE TO EAT THIS.
 this was the verdict. an empty bowl. we finished every single drop of. it was this good. BEST RAMEN i've ever tasted to date. i've finially found my perfect ramen!!!!! noodles were springy n chewy, goes v well w the sweet, light, tasty broth.....egg was perfect gooey, bamboo shoots well braised, the aburi char siew juz melts in your mouth......PERFECT!

and since we were at the vicinity, hw can we miss (we've missed it alot of times liao) the famous dessert at the area? this is baby's pandan kaya gula melaka dessert. verdict? AWESOME. super rich flavors , smooth  creamy sweet........good.

my tofu parfait w hojicha cream, vodka sherbet n reduced sesame dressing. light n tasty. i muz say the owner is a damn talented chef. v bold n creative. we will b back for more.

look at this beautiful al dente mee kia. hawker food is still the best!
