Flying off in 24hrs

i am feeling tired n sick.
sore throat n all.
damn it.
baby is down w URTI. n i am flying off to japan tmr morning(24hrs ltr). will come bk during weekend, rest for few days, fly to taiwan the nxt weekend.
totally screwed. i might as well become part of SIA.
this will mean that i will nt b c-ing baby for like one week.
haha.
hope i dun get sick in japan(again!!!)

i tried to "angle" my face. still, i lost to MQ. apparently, she is doing the "angle", at the same time, pushing me forward so her face looks smaller......wtf.

MQ was complaining abt her lack-of-diamond-fingers. she promised that by the time YX come bk from austria (which is like 4 mths ltr), she would have the bling on one of her finger.

My Activities Over the Past Few Months

i hav nt been updating for a long time.
here r some random pix of the "activities" i had after i came bk from taiwan.


me n baby went to this plc at esplanade for a drink n chit chat session.

the bar has some "glass cubicles" for guests spending 100 bucks n above. good for parties.

baby's drink. passion fruit magarita. look at the caramalized passion fruit floating on top. nice drink.

my mojito. currently my fav cocktail.

we ordered some food to share. this is the pork belly w mustard. not too bad.

i wun skip this once i find this on the menu. foie gras terrine.

seafood linguine. so so lor.

as we tok, we got hungry. so we ordered more food. nt surprising. this is the pizza-duno-wat (u hav to forgive me la, so many mths ago.....)

souffle (duno wat flavour). not nice. our done on the outside, inside still v v mushy. too high temp.

baby n i oso had an hotel stay in sentosa few mths ago.

too stressed up w work la. need to relac abit.

we went to the beach to hav a swim. (i swim, she soak)

after that, we went wash up n had our dinner in one of the restaurant downstairs. the food was really good! alough its more of a local cuisine, i muz say the chef really did a good job to balance the flavours. yumz!

we also went to jen's hse for dinner that mth.

baby strike the jackpot when nat let her carry him. hmph, jealous la.

giz was laughing n playing that day. super cute. i can forget my stress when i hear her laugh. love these kids.

i tell u, i had a hard time reserving tables!!!!!

those who duno wat is going on, pls go google "restaurant week".

trust me, its damn difficult to get tables.

but well, i manage to get one for the restaurant i've always wanted to try!!!!

warm foccacia bread served w olive oil n balsamic vinegar

the service was damn solid. they helped us to prepare both main course n dished them into 2 portions so that we can enjoy all the food included in the menu. superb! the squid ink spag is great!!! but i still prefer the one at valentino....(opps)

the veal. super duper nice. the nicely pan fried veal w the fragrant sauce is an orchestra of flavours. baby tot it was too salty though.

tiramisu. so so.
we concluded that we like valentino more......

hahhahaha.

baby n i went to mirama for jap buffet. my fav salmon skin handroll. comfort food. nv fail to cheer me up.

this fish soup is brilliant. sweet n tasty w a hint of lime. yumz.

i tried some new recipes when my family was in HK for holiday.

n i managed to pull the "eggs ben" off.

the hollandaise sauce n the poached eggs were perfect!!!

spinach salad w bacon n mustard sauce.

lemon spaghetti w pan fried prawns. flop. too much cheese, damn salty....sigh.

hee. this was a success. will bake more of this nxt time. yumz.

went to double bay for dinner last nite.

baby keep asking me y the oyster got "mo mo"(hair) one.

erm....cos they r nt bald?

butternut soup w pine nuts. yumz

baby's cod. surprisingly firm n chewy. nt oily too. quite nice. look at the foam on the left side. it was called the crustacean foam. amazing combination w the fish. duno hw to describe the mouth feel. go try urself.

my pork dish. tender n juicy. but tat pricey though.

good dinner.
we wanted to go mandarin for some dessert.

BUT.......

i think the place i SUPER atas now.

n i was wearing slippers last nite.

hahahha.

maybe nxt time.

in the end, we went billy bombers for milkshake.

sorry ah, abit cheapskate.

but well, we've enjoyed it.
