Post Bday + 太史夜宴

 we will always find reasons (excuses) to meet up n makan.

 when it comes to good food, baby is excited. due to a GPS mistake, we've walked 20 mins to this restaurant, oni to find out that the nearest mrt stn is like 2 mins away. ccb.


 i really dun understand y muz take selfie when there are actually PEOPLE beside u. like-a why?

 amuse bouche is some cheese thing. not bad.
 this neh-neh-pok-look-alike bread was awesome! crispy and light w baked cheese fragrance. yumz.

 thank u M for ur sweet gift for our wedding anniversary.

 side dish of grapes n chestnuts w blue cheese. v v good. love the cheese.
potato in duck fat, taste ok. 
 seared lemon sole. flesh was sweet n juicy. my oni gripe is nt enuff meat (eh, wat u expect from sole?????)
 roast beef w brussel sprouts and yorkshire pudding. tasted decent
 pork chop! nice n juicy. love it.
 mushroom casserole. didnt really tasted this. was concentrating on the meat. muahahaha.
scallops. tender n soft. good stuff.

 终于也肯接受现实了吧。生日快乐!


 awesome dinner = good food + good company. dun u think so?
 went to a manager's hse for a big cook off. it is pretty strange to c all the senior managers cook in the kitchen, while the small fry like us slack in the living room. 
 so we contributed by wrapping ngo hiang.


this 剁椒鱼头 is damn awesome! i will try to cook it next time w whole fish.
 one of the manager brought brownie along. she has been hiding fr all of us since she reached the hse.

me: i bery fierce meh? y u keep hiding fr me?

 look at the food we had. can feed one village of ppl liao. mad.
 got dessert somemore! xiao.
 this is a new shop at orchard central. the biang biang noodle rocks!

sour plum tomato tasted like.....well, sour plum. nice place. we will b back

 baby n i always want to try out this viet food
the coffee rocks! the best viet coffee i've tasted local. i've even ordered a 2nd serving for this. so good.
 the wrap was good too! light n yet full of flavors.
 this is the BEST ban mi ever. they make their own bread n the small oven behind the shop. this was so so so good, we tar pao 2 extra bread home for bfast the nxt day. BEST!
 the pho was ok. soup was surprisingly light, and the meat slices r so thick. nt bad.
 wanted to try out other desserts, but it was nt ready yet. we took the yogurt, n yes, it was awesome. creamy n smooth. i can even taste the milk inside. so good! the food here is really awesome! we will b back for other dishes.

 this ramen shop is currently my fav shop. served good ramen w light n tasty broth. love love love.
u will b totally insane to skip the waffles here if u r in the vicinity. but bcos of this, my cough has been clinging onto me like nobody's biz. no more ice cream for the coming mth. :(


太史夜宴。
自去年的红楼宴之后,我就很期待出席这种史诗宴。
终于也让我等到了。


 南海江府六味碟。
鸡肝酥窝渣,清冽冷酸菜,富贵龙虾枣, 翠玉瓜皮虾,蒜茸手撕茄,鸭丝凉粉皮。
窝渣软绵滑顺,香脆的外表,入口即化,香味布满口腔。好吃!
鸭丝凉粉皮Q弹香辣,也很好吃!

 秋风起兮黄鱔羹。
由于本地不能吃蛇肉,所以师傅用黄鳝来代替5蛇。羹汤浓郁,带了点辣味,加上了菊花瓣和柠檬叶,清香无比。非常好!
古味江太史豆腐。
冻豆腐和精华火腿`配合得刚好,清淡的豆香,和火腿的咸鲜味,让平淡无奇的豆变成了难忘的佳肴。
 失传山楂咕佬肉。
用山楂来调味(no tomato pls), 酸中带果香,和肥瘦匀称的猪肉一起,把猪肉的肉香味提升。柔嫩多汁,香味停留在齿间。很好吃。
 合浦还珠耀金龙。
把核桃酿在虾肉里,让口感变得丰富。不错。


 这道菜让我惊艳无比。你们猜猜看是什么?

 琼浆玉露柚子皮。
是的,柚子的皮。师傅高超的技术让柚子皮也能入菜。
柚子皮泡煮无数次,等到纤维被泡软了,再拿去焖煮。酱汁是用高汤和虾子熬出来的。
当我把这柚子皮放进嘴里时。。。。
我。的。天。啊。
太好吃了!软绵的口感,带有一点果香的皮慢慢在你舌尖化开,那浓郁的虾子鲜充满了口腔。那难忘的滋味一直环绕在你的嘴里面,久久不散。
太好吃了!这是我今天吃过最好吃的一道菜。


 生菜腊味珍珠卷。
把珍珠米饭用腊味炒香,然后包裹在蛋衣里。咸香到位。

 鲜百合湘莲子露。
用新鲜的莲子来熬的甜品。我还是第一次吃到脆口的百合!好吃!
 师傅另外特地准备的惊喜。草莓酿汤圆。清新解腻。
“这朵花的花瓣不是单数也不是双数,而是没有花瓣!PISH........”
哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈!
大吃大喝的结果就是得煲解腻茶来喝!
