Our Rendevous

baby n i've decided to unwind abit from our ever stressful job n hav a staycation! (since when this word became official?)
went to this plc to satisfy my ramen crave. however, the stds dipped quite abit. i will not go bk again.
 



 we asked for super hard noodles, but it turned out to b sticky n slimy. not nice leh......
 our staycation started w lunch the nxt day at this new chinese cafe(?) at MW.
 this四川酸辣鱼is awesome!!!!! v well balanced, not too spicy, abit sour, with the fragrance fr the garlic n sichuan peppercorns.....v v v nice! i can even drink the soup! not oily at all. v nice.
 鱼香茄子.abit too sweet for me though.
 口水鸡捞面. not spicy enuff for me.
 dumpling soup. super big dumplings. juicy n filling. nice! we will b back for the fish n other dishes.
 our room at pan pac is really big.


 can shower n watch tv at the same time.

 baby acc me to the show presented by FM. it was a showcase for the songs we've written together w the melody class ppl. my singer went blank when she sang my song, end up half of the lyrics was gone (upset!). special appearance by Ming.




 sort of missed the class by her. her emo and cynical style is always my inspiration.
 she is the one who blacked out on stage la. i tried to SQUEEZE out a smile. 'nuff say.
 dinner b4 we went bk to the hotel. db is one of our fav restaurant now. awesome svs. n the server actually rem us, welcoming us back to the restuarant.sweet! :)


 the oysters (fine de claire, malpeque)r awesome. fresh n sweet. yumz. we preferred the malpeque (of cos, so ex). tasted so sweet.....
 their special appetizer for the day, scallops wrapped in puff pastry w spinach and black truffle shavings. juicy, tender, sweet w the crispy pastry skin......n the chix jus, tasted like beef jus......super duper delicious!
 the winter salad w promegranate, granny smith n cheese. too sour for me.
" BOUILLABAISSE ROYALE". super flavorful, like a seafood punch to ur face. scallops, mussels, prawns, lobster, snapper.....the seafood r so so fresh, the fish juz melted in ur mouth.....wah lau eh.....so so delicious.
 n the aioli mayo that went w the dish is so so awesome that i can eat it on its own. garlicky w tang fr the lemon, bacon bits on top......n u put this w the seafood, it suddenly lifts up the flesh n makes it even sweeter!
 look at the glorious dish.
 vanila souffle w rasberry sorbet. best souffle i've ever eaten in singapore. tasted exactly like the one i made in osaka's french cooking school.

 profiteroles. best in singapore. the flavors r unbelievable.
 macchiato is good too! verdict? one of our top our fav to date. 
 this is our room svs bfast after our morning swim in the hotel. alot of food yo.
baby super happy after the stay. pan pac's room is big n comfortable, location accessible, n the service rocks. i heard dat the food there in the hotel is v good too. we r thinking of forgoing our usual staycation hotel n vote for this one nxt time. i suggest to C (who wanted to stay is RWS for her bday nxt yr) to seriously consider pan pac. v good.
